The wife of the Messenger, Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), says that a woman came to me with her two daughters and asked me (for something). I had only one date with me, so I gave it to her. She took it and divided it between her two daughters, and did not eat anything herself, and then she left with her daughters. When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me, I told him the whole story. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever is tested by these daughters and treats them well, they will be a shield for him from the Fire (of Hell)."
