Hadith 1553
Sayyiduna Muawiyah bin Qurrah narrates from his uncle, that is, the brother of Qurrah bin Iyas, that he used to come to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) with his young child and would seat him in front of him. (One day) the Prophet (peace be upon him) asked him: "Do you love him?" He replied: "I love him very much." (As Allah willed) that child passed away. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said to him: "Will you be saddened (at the separation from your child)?" He replied: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Would you be pleased that when Allah admits you to Paradise, you find this child at the gate of Paradise and he opens the gate for you?" He said: "Why not." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "So it shall be, insha’Allah (if Allah wills)."
Hadith 1554
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that some women came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: “O Messenger of Allah! You sit in the gatherings of men, we cannot come there, so please appoint a day for us, we will come.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Go to the house of so-and-so on such-and-such day.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came on that day as promised and among the things he said to them was this: “Any woman whose three children die and she remains patient, hoping for reward, she will enter Paradise.” A woman asked: “What if there are two children?” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Even if there are two.”
Hadith 1555
Lady Habibah or Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that we were sitting in the house of Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the house and said: "If any Muslim couple (i.e., husband and wife) have three children who die before reaching maturity, those children will be brought to the gate of Paradise and it will be said to them: Enter Paradise. They will say: Shall we enter Paradise without our parents? It will be said to them: (Alright) you and your parents enter Paradise." This is the meaning of Allah Almighty's statement: «فَمَا تَنْفَعُهُمْ شَفَاعَةُ الشّٰفِعِيْنَ» "The intercession of the children will benefit their parents."
Hadith 1556
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) addressed the women and said: “Any woman among you whose three children die, Allah Almighty will admit her to Paradise because of them.” One elderly woman among them said: O Messenger of Allah! Will the mother of two deceased children also enter Paradise? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The mother of two children will also enter Paradise.”
Hadith 1557
Abu Umamah says that I said to Sayyiduna Amr bin Abasah Salami (may Allah be pleased with him): Tell me a hadith that you heard from the Messenger of Allah and in which there is neither omission nor doubt. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say:
"(1) In Islam, whoever has three children born to him and they die before reaching maturity, Allah will admit such a person into Paradise because of His mercy upon them.
(2) Whoever grows old in the path of Allah, this deed will be a light for him on the Day of Resurrection.
(3) Whoever shoots an arrow in the path of Allah, whether it hits the enemy or not, this deed will be equal in reward to freeing a slave.
(4) Whoever frees a Muslim slave, Allah the Exalted will free every limb of the one who freed (the slave) from the Fire in exchange for every limb of the freed one.
(5) Whoever spends a pair (of anything) in the path of Allah, Allah the Exalted will admit him through whichever of the eight gates of Paradise he wishes."
