Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When those who perform li'an (mutual cursing, i.e., husband and wife) separate, they can never be joined (in marriage) again." This hadith is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud, and Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with them).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Women who seek khula (divorce) from their husbands and separate themselves are hypocrites."
