Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyidah Fatimah bint Qays (may Allah be pleased with her) says: I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I am from the family of Khalid, my husband has divorced me, I demanded maintenance and residence from his relatives, but they refused, and (I informed the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, that) he has given her three divorces. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The husband is responsible for the maintenance and residence of the woman only when he has the right to take her back."
