Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Miqdam bin Ma’dikarib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood among the people, praised and glorified Allah, then said: “Allah enjoins you to treat women well, for they are your mothers, your daughters, and your maternal aunts. (See that) a man from the People of the Book marries a young and poor woman, and then neither of them loses interest in the other, until both of them grow old and die.”
