Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is not permissible for a wife to give a gift from her wealth without her husband's permission."

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a woman spends from the food (or provisions) of her house, provided she is not wasteful, she receives the reward for spending, the husband receives the reward for earning, and the treasurer (caretaker) also receives a similar reward. None of them diminishes the reward of the other in any way."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a woman spends from her husband's earnings without his permission, she receives half the reward."

Sayyiduna Wathilah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A woman cannot spend anything from her wealth without her husband's permission."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a man becomes the owner of a woman (through marriage), it is not permissible for her to give a gift (to anyone) without her husband's permission."
