Hadith 1436
- " إذا ألقي في قلب امرئ خطبة امرأة فلا بأس أن ينظر إليها ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Abi Hathmah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When a man feels a desire in his heart to propose to a woman, he should (first) look at her; there is no harm in that."
Hadith 1437
- " إذا خطب أحدكم المرأة، فإن استطاع أن ينظر إلى ما يدعوه إلى نكاحها فليفعل ".
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When any one of you sends a proposal to a woman, he should look at that quality in her because of which he wants to marry her."
Hadith 1438
- " إذا خطب أحدكم امرأة فلا جناح عليه أن ينظر إليها إذا كان إنما ينظر إليها لخطبته، وإن كانت لا تعلم ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Humayd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When a man sends a proposal of marriage to a woman, there is no harm in looking at her, even if she is unaware of it, provided that he is looking at her because of the proposal."
Hadith 1439
- " انظر إليها، فإن في أعين الأنصار شيئا. يعني الصغر ".
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a man wanted to marry an Ansari woman. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Look at her, for the eyes of the Ansar (women) are (generally) small."
Hadith 1440
- " انظر إليها فإنه أحرى أن يؤدم بينكما ".
Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) sent a marriage proposal to a woman. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: “Look at her, for it is more likely that love will be established between you because of that.”
