Harms of false oaths; worldly gain by false oath is ruin, not cleverness
Hadith 1417
- (اليمين الكاذبة منفقة للسلعة، ممحقة للكسب، (وفي لفظ:) للبركة) .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A false oath may sell the goods, but it wipes out the earnings." And in another narration, the words are: "It wipes out the blessing."
Hadith 1418
- (من اقتطع مال امرئ مسلم؛ بيمين كاذبة؛ كانت نكتة سوداء في قلبه، لا يغيرها شيء إلى يوم القيامة) .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah bin Tha'labah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "Whoever seizes the wealth of a Muslim by means of a false oath, a black spot is placed upon his heart, which nothing can erase until the Day of Resurrection."
