Hadith 1412
- " كل يمين يحلف بها دون الله شرك ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) says that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Swearing an oath by anyone other than Allah is shirk (associating partners with Allah)."
Hadith 1413
- " من حلف بالأمانة فليس منا ".
Ibn Buraidah narrates from his father, who says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever swears by trust is not one of us."
Hadith 1414
- " احلفوا بالله وبروا واصدقوا، فإن الله يكره أن يحلف إلا به ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Swear by Allah, fulfill it, and speak the truth, for Allah dislikes swearing by other than Him."
Hadith 1415
- " قولوا: ما شاء الله ثم شئت، وقولوا: ورب الكعبة ".
A woman from the tribe of Juhaina, Sayyida Qateela bint Saifi (may Allah be pleased with both of them), says: A Jewish scholar came to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "You people commit shirk; you say: (It happens) as Allah wills and as you will. And you also say: By the Ka'bah." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You should say: (It happens) as Allah wills and then as you will, and when taking an oath, say: By the Lord of the Ka'bah."
