Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Shaddad bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The evil people of this Ummah will follow the ways of the previous People of the Book just as one arrow matches another prepared arrow."

Yazid bin Sharik says that Dahhak bin Qais gave him an adorned garment and sent him to Marwan. Marwan said to his guard: See, who is at the door? He said: Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) is here. He allowed him to enter and said: Abu Hurairah! Narrate a hadith that you heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Soon a man will wish that he would fall from the star Thurayya (Pleiades) rather than be made responsible for any matter of the people."
