Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Even the leader of ten people will be brought on the Day of Resurrection in such a state that he will be bound; his justice will set him free or his oppression will destroy him."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever takes responsibility for the affairs of ten people will come to Allah on the Day of Resurrection with his hands bound to his neck. His good deeds will set him free, or his bad deeds will destroy him. (This leadership) begins with blame, in the middle there is regret, and in the end, that is, on the Day of Resurrection, there is disgrace."
