Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade "Mukhābarah." I asked: What is Mukhābarah? He said: To lease land in exchange for half, a third, or a quarter of the produce.
