Evil of attributing oneself to a non-father
Hadith 1303
- " من ادعى إلى غير أبيه فلن يرح رائحة الجنة، وريحها يوجد من مسيرة سبعين عاما ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever ascribes himself to anyone other than his father will not smell the fragrance of Paradise, and its fragrance is perceived from a distance of seventy years."
Hadith 1304
ـ (من انتفَى من ولَدِه لِيفضَحه في الدُّنيا؛ فضَحَه اللهُ يومَ القيامةِ على رؤوس الأَشهادِ، قِصاصٌ بِقِصَاصٍ) .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever denies his son in this world in order to disgrace him, Allah Almighty will disgrace him before all present on the Day of Resurrection. This is an equal recompense."
