Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Ata bin Yasar narrates from an Ansari man that an Ansari told him: I kissed my wife while fasting during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), so I sent my wife to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to ask him about it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Messenger of Allah himself does this." When my wife returned and told me this hadith, I said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is sometimes given special concessions, so go back and ask (for clarification). So she went back and said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is given special concessions in some matters, (what should we do?) The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I am the one who fears Allah the most and knows His limits the best."
