Hadith 1239
- " ألا لا يجني جان إلا على نفسه، لا يجني والد على ولده ولا مولود على والده ".
Sayyiduna Amr bin Ahwas (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying at the occasion of the Farewell Pilgrimage: "Beware! Every sinner will only harm himself. A father cannot harm his son, nor can a son harm his father (i.e., both will be responsible for their own crimes)."
Hadith 1240
- " أما إنك لا تجني عليه، ولا يجني عليك ".
Sayyiduna Abu Rimthah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) with my father. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked my father: "Who is this with you?" He said: "This is my son, I can testify to that." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Be aware! You cannot testify falsely against him, nor can he testify falsely against you."
Hadith 1241
- " لا تجني أم على ولد لا تجني أم على ولد ".
Sayyiduna Tariq Muharibi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A mother cannot do wrong against her son, a mother cannot do wrong against her son (i.e., she will be responsible for her own crime)."
Hadith 1242
- " لا تجني عليه ولا يجني عليك ".
Sayyiduna Khushkhash Anbari (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I came to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) with my son. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Is this your son?" I said: Yes. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You cannot be held accountable for his wrongdoing, and he cannot be held accountable for your wrongdoing (i.e., each of you is responsible for your own actions)."
Hadith 1243
- " لا تجني نفس على أخرى ".
Sayyiduna Usamah bin Sharik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No one can do evil on behalf of another (i.e., everyone is responsible for his own crime)."
