Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Haram bin Sa'd bin Muhaisah says that the she-camel of Sayyiduna Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) entered a man's garden and caused damage. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave a ruling, saying: "During the day, it is the responsibility of the garden owners to protect (their property), and for damage at night, the owners of the cattle will be held responsible."
