Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Hakim bin Hizam says that Sayyiduna Abu Ubaidah bin Jarrah (may Allah be pleased with him) detained a landowner for some reason (and punished him). Sayyiduna Khalid bin Walid (may Allah be pleased with him) spoke to Abu Ubaidah regarding this matter. It was said to Sayyiduna Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him): "Have you angered the leader?" Khalid bin Walid replied: "I did not intend to anger him; I only heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'On the Day of Resurrection, the person who inflicted the harshest punishments on people in the world will receive the severest punishment from Allah Almighty.'"
