Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Muawiyah bin Abu Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When people drink alcohol, flog them. If they drink (a second time), then flog them again. If they drink (a third time), then flog them. If they drink alcohol a fourth time, then kill them."
