It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Any Muslim who plants a tree, then whatever is eaten from it is charity on his behalf, whatever is stolen from it is also charity for him, whatever wild animals eat from it is also charity on his behalf, and whatever birds eat from it is also charity for him. (In short) until the Day of Resurrection, whenever any creature uses it and causes any decrease in it, it is charity on his behalf.”
