Hadith 1096
- " لو كان لي مثل أحد ذهبا لسرني أن لا تمر علي ثلاث ليال عندي منه شيء إلا شيئا أرصده لدين ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If I had gold equal to the mountain of Uhud, I would love (to spend it in the way of truth so quickly) that not even three nights would pass and nothing of it would remain with me except for that portion which I would keep to pay off a debt."

He (peace and blessings be upon him) held it in his hand and, gesturing, said: "What will Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) think of his Lord if he meets his Lord in this state while this gold is with him? Now do this: spend it (immediately)." Yazid, the narrator, gestured with his hand (to describe the manner of the Prophet's gesture).

Hadith 1100
- " ما ظن نبي الله لو لقي الله عز وجل وهذه عنده؟ يعني ستة دنانير أو سبعة ".
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah bin Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) says: One day, I and Urwah bin Zubair went to Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). She said: If you had seen the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day when he fell ill, and I had six dinars with me. Musa, the narrator, says: They were six or seven dinars. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered me to spend them, but I was occupied with (serving) you due to your illness, until Allah Almighty granted you recovery. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked me about them and said: "What happened to those six or seven dinars?" I said: By Allah! Your illness kept me so busy that I could not spend them. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had those dinars brought and placed them on his palm and said: "What would the Prophet of Allah (think) about his Lord if He were to meet Him in this state, while these were still with him?" Meaning, these six or seven dinars.
