Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: An Ansari woman came to me, she saw that the bed of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was just a sheet, which had been folded over. She left and sent a bedding filled with wool. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me, he asked: "What is this?" I said: O Messenger of Allah! Such-and-such Ansari woman came to me, she saw your bed and left, and sent this bedding. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Return it." But I did not return it, because I liked that such bedding should be in my house. But the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said three times (to return it). Then he said: "By Allah! O Aisha! If I wished, Allah would make mountains of gold and silver walk with me."
