Hadith 1088
- " أجملوا في طلب الدنيا، فإن كلا ميسر لما خلق له ".
Sayyiduna Abu Humayd Sa'idi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Be moderate in seeking (the wealth of) the world, for whatever a person has been created for, it has been made easy for him."
Hadith 1089
- " احذروا الدنيا، فإنها خضرة حلوة ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mus'ab bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him), he states that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Beware of the world, for it is lush, green (attractive), and sweet."
Hadith 1090
- " إن الدنيا خضرة حلوة، فمن أخذها بحقها بورك له فيها، ورب متخوض في مال الله ومال رسوله (ليس) له (إلا) النار يوم يلقى الله ".
Sayyiduna Hamzah bin Abdul Muttalib’s (may Allah be pleased with him) wife, Khawlah bint Qais (may Allah be pleased with her), narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Hamzah and both of them began to talk about worldly matters. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Indeed, the world is lush, green (attractive) and sweet. Whoever acquires it with its due right, there will be blessing placed in it for him. And there are many people who intrude (unlawfully) into the wealth of Allah and His Messenger; on the day they meet Allah, they will find nothing except the Fire.”
Hadith 1091
- " إن الدنيا خضرة حلوة وإن الله عز وجل مستخلفكم فيها لينظر كيف تعملون، فاتقوا الدنيا واتقوا النساء، فإن أول فتنة بني إسرائيل كانت في النساء ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, the world is lush and sweet (attractive), and Allah Almighty has made you successors in it so that He may see how you act. So beware of the world and of women, for the first trial among the Children of Israel occurred because of women."
Hadith 1092
- " إنما يكفي أحدكم ما كان في الدنيا مثل زاد الراكب ".
It is narrated from Yahya bin Ja'dah, he says: Some companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to visit Sayyiduna Khabbab (may Allah be pleased with him). They said: O servant of Allah! Rejoice, for you will arrive at the Pond (Hawd) with Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). He pointed to the upper and lower parts of his house and said: What will become of this? While the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had said: "For you, from this world, (wealth and possessions) as much as a traveler's provision is sufficient."
