Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says: In the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) there were two brothers. One of them used to come and go to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and in another narration: one used to attend the conversation and gathering of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), while the other was occupied in earning a livelihood. The one who was earning complained to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, this brother of mine does not assist or help me in (my work). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Perhaps you are being provided for because of him."
