Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Buhz bin Hakim narrates from his father, and he from his grandfather Sayyiduna Muawiyah bin Haydah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah will abase the one who cuts down the lote tree in Hell."

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Hubshi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever cuts down a lote tree, Allah will throw him into the Fire." What he meant was a lote tree in the Haram.
