Silsilah Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The days of Tashreeq are days of eating and remembering Allah."

Sayyiduna Hamzah Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he saw a man riding a camel during the days of Mina, going to the dwellings of the people and making this announcement, while the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was also present: "(O people!) Do not fast on these days, for these are days of eating and drinking." Qatadah says: We were informed that the one making this announcement was Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him).
