Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Safwan bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says that a man came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he was covered in saffron, wearing stitched clothes, and he had put on the ihram for ‘Umrah. He said: O Messenger of Allah! Now what do you command me regarding this ‘Umrah? Allah the Exalted revealed this verse: “And complete the Hajj and ‘Umrah for Allah.” The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Where is the one who asked about ‘Umrah?” He said: Yes, here I am. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Take off your clothes, perform ghusl (ritual bath), clean yourself as much as you can, and do in ‘Umrah what you were going to do in Hajj.”
