Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Abu Imran Jouni says: I performed Hajj with my masters. One day I came to Lady Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) and said: O Mother of the Believers! I have never performed Hajj before this occasion. Should I begin with Hajj or with Umrah? She said: It is up to you, perform Umrah before Hajj or after Hajj. Then I went to Lady Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her), and she also gave me the same answer. Then I returned to Lady Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) and informed her of what Lady Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) had said. She said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "O family of Muhammad! Whoever among you performs Hajj, let him enter into Ihram for Hajj along with Umrah."
