Hadith 961
- " الدينار كنز والدرهم كنز والقيراط كنز، قالوا: يا رسول الله أما الدينار والدرهم فقد عرفناهما، فما القيراط؟ قال: نصف درهم، نصف درهم، نصف درهم ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The dinar is a treasure, the dirham is also a treasure, and the qirat is also a treasure." The companions asked: We know the dinar and the dirham, but what is the qirat? He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Half a dirham, half a dirham, half a dirham (is called a qirat)."
Hadith 962
- " ما بلغ أن تؤدى زكاته، فزكي فليس بكنز ".
Sayyida Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: I used to wear anklets made of gold. One day I asked: O Messenger of Allah! Is this also considered a treasure (hoarded wealth)? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whatever (jewelry) reaches the threshold for zakat and its zakat has been paid, then it is not considered a treasure."
