Silsilah Sahihah

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give charity and do not hoard (your wealth), otherwise Allah will withhold from you." This hadith is narrated from Sayyidah Asma and Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with them both). The wording of Sayyidah Asma's (may Allah be pleased with her) narration is as follows: She used to save her wealth, and she says: I asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): O Messenger of Allah! I have no wealth except what (my husband) Zubair has given me, can I give charity from it? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give charity and do not keep it saved, otherwise Allah will withhold from you."
