Silsilah Sahihah

Sayyiduna Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I performed the Asr prayer in Madinah behind the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). When he finished the prayer with salam, he quickly stood up and, stepping over the people's necks, entered the house of one of his wives. The people were surprised at his haste. (Meanwhile) the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) returned and saw that the people were astonished at his quickness. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "While I was praying, I remembered a piece of (gold or silver) zakat that was with us. I disliked that it should keep me (and in another narration: that it should remain with us till the evening or spend the night with us), so I have just ordered it to be distributed."
