Hadith 896
- " كلوا واشربوا ولا يهيدنكم الساطع المصعد، فكلوا واشربوا حتى يعترض لكم الأحمر ".
Abdullah bin Nu’man Suhaimi says: It was the last part of the night in Ramadan. Qais bin Taliq came to me to ask for some curry, while I had already finished eating suhoor out of fear of the morning. I said: Uncle! If any part of the night remains (and there is still time for suhoor), I will seat you with food and drink. He said: Do you have food and drink? So he came inside, and I presented tharid, meat, and nabidh. He himself ate and drank, and compelled me so much that I also started eating and drinking, even though I was afraid of the morning. Then he said: Sayyiduna Taliq bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated to me that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Eat and drink (regarding suhoor); do not let the rising light disturb you, rather continue eating and drinking until the red light (in the horizon) spreads.”
