Hadith 827
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This is the month of Ramadan; it has come to you. In it, the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of the Fire are closed, and the devils are chained."

Hadith 828
It is narrated from 'Urfaajah, he says: I was in a house where 'Utbah bin Farqad was also present. I wanted to narrate a hadith, but there was a Companion of the Messenger of Allah present there, and it seemed that he was more deserving than me to narrate the hadith. So he narrated that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In Ramadan, the gates of the sky (and in another narration, the gates of Paradise) are opened and the gates of the Fire are closed, and every rebellious (and wicked and evil) devil is chained, and a proclaiming angel announces every night: O seeker of good! Come forward, and O seeker of evil! Stop."
