Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Abu Wa'il says: Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him): Some people are sitting with the intention of i'tikaf between your house and Abu Musa's house, and you do not forbid them? Even though you know that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no i'tikaf except in three mosques." Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Perhaps you have forgotten and they remember, or perhaps you are mistaken and they are correct.
