Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Wadheen bin Ata says: Abu Abdur Rahman Qasim narrated to me, he says that a companion of the Messenger of Allah narrated to me that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in prayer on the day of Eid and said four takbirs, then after finishing the prayer he turned towards us and said: "Do not forget, just like the takbirs of the funeral prayer (there are four takbirs in this prayer as well)." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (to make it clear) folded his thumb and gestured with the remaining four fingers.
