Hadith 729
Hilal bin Yasaf says: I went to Raqqah, and my companions said to me: Do you wish to meet a companion (of the Prophet)? I said: That would be a blessing. So we went to Sayyiduna Wabisah (may Allah be pleased with him). I said to my companion: Let us first observe his outward appearance. (What we saw was that) on his head was a cap with two flaps or two corners, and he was wearing a woolen, sleeved garment of a dusty color, and he was performing prayer while leaning on his staff. We greeted him with salam and asked (about taking support from a staff during prayer). He said: Sayyidah Umm Qais bint Mihsan (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated to me that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) became old and his body became heavy, he would perform prayer while taking support from a pillar.
