Reciting Surah Kafiroon and Ikhlas in Fajr and Maghrib Sunnah
Hadith 642
- " نعمت السورتان يقرأ بهما في ركعتين قبل الفجر * (قل هو الله أحد) * و * (قل يا أيها الكافرون) * ".
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray four rak‘ahs before Zuhr and would not abandon the Sunnah prayers before Fajr, and he used to say: "The two best surahs that are recited in the two rak‘ahs before Fajr are: «قل هو الله احد » and «قل يا ايها الكافرون»."
Hadith 643
- (كان يقرأ في ركعتي الفجر، [والركعتين بعد المغرب] (قل يا أيّها الكافرون) و (قل هو الله أحد)) .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite «قل يا ايها الكافرون» and «قل هو الله احد » in the two rak‘ahs before Fajr and the two rak‘ahs after Maghrib.
