How long is prayer prohibited at sunrise and sunset? Total disliked times
Hadith 628
- إذا بدا (وفي لفظ: طلع) حاجبُ الشّمسِ فأخِّروا الصّلاةَ حتى تَبرُزَ، وإذا غَابَ حاجبُ الشّمسِ؛ فأخِّروا الصّلاةَ حتّى تغيبَ) .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the edge of the sun becomes visible, do not perform prayer until it has fully risen, and similarly, when the edge of the sun begins to set, do not perform prayer until it has completely set."
