Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Offer a part of your prayers in your homes as well; do not make them like graveyards, just as the Jews made their homes like graveyards. Indeed, the house in which the Qur'an is recited appears to the inhabitants of the heavens as the stars appear to the inhabitants of the earth."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When a person completes his prayer in the mosque, he should perform some prayer at home as well, because Allah Almighty will send goodness and blessings into his house due to his prayer."

It is narrated from a Companion of the Messenger that he said: "The reward for a man offering voluntary prayers at home is greater than offering them among the people, just as the reward for congregational (obligatory) prayer is greater than that of praying alone."

Sayyiduna Anas and Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with them) say that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Pray in your homes and do not abandon the offering of voluntary prayers in them."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Khalid al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do not make your houses graves; offer prayers in them."
