Ruling on sitting and praying behind a sitting Imam
Hadith 540
- " إذا صلى الإمام جالسا فصلوا جلوسا ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the Imam leads the prayer sitting, then all of you should also perform the prayer sitting."
