Hadith 500
Sayyiduna Abu Basrah Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in the ‘Asr prayer at the place of Makhamas and said: “This prayer was also made obligatory upon the previous nations, but they neglected it. Therefore, whoever safeguards its performance will receive double the reward, and after it, there is no prayer until a star appears.” In the hadith, the word «شَاهد» means “stars.”
