Hadith 452
- " ليس عليها غسل حتى تنزل، كما أنه ليس على الرجل غسل حتى ينزل ".
It is narrated from Sayyidah Khawlah bint Hakim (may Allah be pleased with her) that she asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about a woman who sees in a dream what a man sees (i.e., she experiences a wet dream)? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no obligation of ghusl (ritual bath) upon her until there is emission, just as ghusl is not obligatory upon a man until there is emission."
Hadith 453
- " إذا رأت ذلك فأنزلت فعليها الغسل ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyidah Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about a woman who sees a dream like a man (i.e., she experiences a wet dream)? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When she perceives (by signs) that she has had an emission, then taking a bath (ghusl) becomes obligatory upon her." Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Does this also happen? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Yes, the fluid of a man is thick and white, while the fluid of a woman is yellow and thin. (During intercourse) whichever of them's fluid prevails and dominates, the child resembles that one."
