Hadith 410
- " لا بأس بذلك. يعني المسح على الخفين ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was asked: O Messenger of Allah! What is your opinion about a man who becomes without ablution, then performs ablution and wipes over his socks, so can he pray? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There is no harm in doing so."
Hadith 411
- " أصبت السنة، قاله عمر لعقبة وقد مسح من الجمعة إلى الجمعة على خفيه وهو مسافر ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: On Friday, I set out from Syria towards Madinah. (Upon reaching there) I went to Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him). He said: When did you put on your leather socks? I said: On Friday. He said: Have you taken them off since then? I said: No. He said: You have acted in accordance with the Sunnah.
Hadith 412
- " امسحوا على الخفاف (ثلاثة أيام) . يعني في السفر ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Khuzaimah bin Thabit Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Wipe over the leather socks for three days." If we had asked for more (days), he (peace be upon him) would have granted us permission for more (days).
Hadith 413
- (رخّص - صلى الله عليه وسلم - للمسافر ثلاثة أيّام ولياليهن، وللمُقيمِ يوماً وليلةً- إذا تطهَّر فلبسَ خُفّيْهِ- أنْ يمسحَ عليهما) .
Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Abu Bakrah narrates from his father that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) granted concession to the traveler to wipe over the socks for three days and nights, and to the resident for one day and night, (but the condition is that) he wore the socks while in a state of ablution.
Hadith 414
- " إذا أدخل أحدكم رجليه في خفيه وهما طاهرتان فليمسح عليهما ثلاث للمسافر ويوم وليلة للمقيم ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a person puts on leather socks (khuff) on his feet while his (feet are) pure due to ablution, then he may wipe over them. A traveler may do so for three days, and a resident for one day and night."
