Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), he says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I strongly emphasize to you regarding the use of the miswak."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that he said: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I was commanded to use the miswak so much that I began to fear for my teeth."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) slept, the miswak would be near him, and when he woke up, he would begin with the miswak.

Abdur Rahman bin Abi Laila narrates from a companion of the Messenger of Allah that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If I did not consider it a hardship for my ummah, I would have made the use of the miswak obligatory for them, just as I have made ablution obligatory."
