Hadith 352
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You may relate (their narrations) from the Children of Israel, there is no harm in it, for among them are found some strange matters." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) himself said: "A group from the Children of Israel set out and passed by their graveyard. They said: If we pray two rak‘ahs and supplicate to Allah that He brings forth for us a dead person (alive from his grave), so that we may ask him about death. So they did so. While they were doing this, a wheat-colored man raised his head from the grave, and there was a mark of prostration on his forehead. He said: O you! What do you want from me? I died a hundred years ago today, but the heat of death has not yet subsided. Now pray to Allah that He returns me to the state in which I was."
