Knowledge of lineage helps in maintaining family ties
Hadith 351
- " تعلموا من أنسابكم ما تصلون به أرحامكم، فإن صلة الرحم محبة في الأهل، مثراة في المال، منسأة في الأثر ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Acquire enough knowledge of your lineage so that you may establish ties of kinship among yourselves, for maintaining ties of kinship creates love among relatives, brings blessings in wealth, and increases lifespan."
