Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Kharijah bin Zaid narrates from his father, who says: When the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in Madinah Munawwarah, I was brought to him. I recited some things to him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "Learn the script of the Jews, for I am not satisfied with them regarding my letters." Not even fifteen days had passed when I had learned their script. Then I used to write (letters) for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and read their letters to him.
