Hadith 323
- (قدِ اختلفتُم وأنا بين أظهُركم، وأنتُم بعدِي أشدُ اختلافاً) .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Husayn bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), he states that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) concealed the word "Dukhan" for Ibn Sayyad, then asked him about it. He replied by saying the word "Dukh." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Be humiliated! You will never surpass your rank (and status)." When he went away, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "What did he reply?" Some said: He said the word "Dukh," while others said: He said the word "Zukh." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You have fallen into disagreement in my presence, and after me you will disagree much more."
