Hadith 305
- (إنَّ أتقاكم وأعلمَكم باللهِ أنا) .
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would command the companions to do something, he would instruct them to do only those deeds which they were capable of performing. She said: O Messenger of Allah! We are not like you, (your situation is such that) Allah Almighty has forgiven your past and future sins, (whereas we are sinners, so we should do more deeds). But the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would become displeased at this demand, and his displeasure would be apparent from his face, then he would say: “Indeed, I am the one among you who fears Allah the most and knows Him the best.”
