Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked for food. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him half a wasq of barley. That man, his wife, and his guest kept eating from it, (it was so blessed that it would not finish), one day he measured it, and then it finished. Then he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you had not measured it, you would have continued eating from it and it would have remained for you."
