Fate of Jews and Christians who did not believe in the Prophet
Hadith 253
- (ما من أحد يسمع بي من هذه الأمة، ولا يهودي، ولا نصراني، فلا يؤمن بي، إلا دخل النار) .
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Now, any individual of this Ummah—whether he be a Jew or a Christian (or anyone else)—who hears about me and does not believe in me, will enter Hell." This hadith is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'id bin Jubair, and there is a difference of opinion regarding the chain of narration from him in three ways.
Hadith 254
- " والذي نفسي بيده لا يسمع بي رجل من هذه الأمة، ولا يهودي ولا نصراني ثم لم يؤمن بي إلا كان من أهل النار ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "By Him in Whose hand is my soul! Any individual, whether he be a Jew or a Christian, who hears about me and does not believe in me, he will be among the inhabitants of Hell."
